We are a U.S.-based, fully licensed and accredited online pharmacy that is dedicated to providing our members with the transparency needed to make educated decisions about managing their medication costs.

Is GeniusRx free to use?

There is zero cost or commitment to use GeniusRx. We encourage you to shop our site for information and pricing on thousands of prescription medications.

Why do I have to setup a free account?

We safely store all the prescription details you and your doctor provide to make it easier for your next order. Creating an account makes it easier for us to better understand and tailor our services to your needs.

How does GeniusRx get my prescriptions?

We receive all of your prescription information directly from your prescriber, via secure fax or electronically through their prescribing software program.

How long will it take for me to receive my order?

Order Processing Time

  • If you have a prescription(s) on file, the processing time will take 1-2 business days
  • If you’ve requested GeniusRx to request the prescription(s) from your doctor, the order will remain open for 5 days to allow time to receive the prescription(s). If we do not receive the prescription within 5 days, your order will be cancelled

Alternatively, to expedite the order processing, please ask your doctor to send us the prescription(s) using the methods below:

  • Prescription(s) for controlled substances MUST be sent electronically. Prescribers can find our pharmacy in the "Mail Order" Pharmacy directory or with our NCPDP #5733325. Electronic submission is the fastest and preferred method in which the prescription can be entered in the system within 2 hours.
  • Prescription(s) can be faxed to (833) 308-0115 and can take up to 2 business days to be processed. The system will reject any prescription(s) faxed from numbers not registered to a licensed US physician. We cannot dispense the medication until we receive a valid prescription. We can transfer a prescription if you have refills remaining at your local pharmacy.

  • Free Shipping: Order(s) will typically arrive within 2-5 business days
  • Priority Shipping (+ $4.99): Order(s) will typically arrive within 1-3 business days

Do I need to have health insurance?

No. While we currently do not accept health insurance, like our members, you will discover that our medication prices are often lower than insurance co-pays. In short, you can save money by NOT using health insurance.

How do your drugs compare to those from my local retail pharmacy?

GeniusRx carries the same exact medications. The only difference is lower prices.

How are your prices so low?

Unlike retail pharmacies, GeniusRx has a very low overhead, as we operate out of a single, state-of-the-art facility that ships nationwide*. In addition, we are obsessed with analytics. We are constantly reviewing our costs and processes to improve our efficiencies.

Do I need a prescription?

Yes. A valid prescription is required to order your medication.

Is GeniusRx Pharmacy secure?

Yes. We take your privacy and security very serious.

Here is how we protect you:

We do not share your personal health and credit card records with any other pharmacy.

We will only share your personal information if you consent for us to do so.

We use third party payment processors for all transactions and recurring billing, keeping your data even more secure.

Our website has top of the line encryption and security, to help best secure your private data.

Do you accept health insurance?

Not at this time.

What am I responsible for paying?

You are only responsible for the cost of the medication. Standard Shipping is now free for each customer per each individual order. Expedited shipping is currently $4.99 for the entire order.

Will my drug costs count towards my deductible?

Depending on your insurance they may allow you to submit your receipts towards your deductible. A receipt will be included in your shipment which you can use for proof of purchase.

Do you accept my FSA or HSA?

Although our website is presently unable to process FSA and HSA cards, we can process FSA/HSA over the phone. Call our pharmacy at 1-800-964-9654 to use this method of payment.

Do you accept Medicaid or Medicare?

At this time, no we do not.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards and debit cards.  Our website is currently unable to process FSA and HSA cards; you will need to call the pharmacy at 1-800-964-9654 to use your FSA/HSA card.

Do I need to call the pharmacy after I placed my order online?

No.  After placing your online order, if the pharmacy needs any additional information, they will contact you via email.  Please make sure to add rxhelp@geniusrx.com to your safe senders list.

How do I order my prescription?

You can order prescriptions by creating a shopping cart online through GeniusRx.com or, by calling the pharmacy at 1-800-964-9654.

Whether placing the order online or by phone, you will need to provide a payment method. A pre-authorization or "hold" will be placed on the credit card for the amount of your order. Your credit card will not be charged until we secure your prescription and ship your order.

After you order, you contact your prescriber to have your prescriptions sent to GeniusRx via their electronic prescribing system. They can find us by searching mail-order pharmacies or via our NCPDP # 5733325. Or they can send a fax to 833-308-0115.

This is only if you selected the “Doctor to Send”. If you chose for the pharmacy to get your prescription, you do not need to do anything else.

How do you get my prescriptions?

GeniusRx only accepts prescriptions sent directly from a licensed prescriber, via secure fax, or sent electronically through electronic prescribing software. When you request for us to do so, we can reach out directly to your provider for your prescription or to your pharmacy for your prescription to be transferred, however, this may add more time to fulfilling your order.

Do you deliver to all 50 states?

Our pharmacy delivers to all 50 states nationwide.

Is there a min/max quantity I can get dispensed within each individual order?

There are multiple factors that contribute to the minimum and maximum quantities that can be dispensed. 

The maximum quantity is dependent on what the prescriber authorizes on the prescription.  By-in-large, we do not dispense more than a 90-day supply. However, certain medications have clinical or regulatory quantity limits and may be less than what was ordered online or prescribed by your provider. If this occurs, the pharmacy will notify you.
